2010 Annual Gathering

Evangelical Covenant Church, Lindsborg, Kansas

Friday, April 23, 2010

Save the Date!

Rotator

Ginger Millermon is the featured speaker for the 2010 Women Ministries Annual Gathering in Lindsborg. Ginger is a dynamic musician and speaker, so hearing from her on Friday will make this an annual meeting you do not want to miss!

We've added new events this year.  Come early and take part in Thursday evening workshops on praying the Scriptures/journaling, and making greeting cards.  Make new friends of other women in our Conference while participating in a service project Friday morning prior to our business session and lunch.  This year, we are preparing meals to be donated to a local woman's shelter while we learn to make low-cost, healthy meals in bulk for our own families.  There will also be a presentation on AVA and human trafficking.

Mark your calendars now for Thursday and Friday, April 22 and 23 – and bring a friend (or a carload of friends) to share in this refreshing time together.  Your church will have registration forms soon.  Download the invitation (to be printed on two sides) and poster to promote the event with the women at your church.

Of course, you won't want to miss sightseeing and shopping in the picturesque town of Lindsborg known as "Little Sweden."  Watch for more updates through our Connecting Women of the Midwest Conference email newsletter.  Contact us if you are not on our subscription list.

Last year, Sue Radosti was the featured speaker at the First Covenant Church in Mason City, Iowa, and her message truly blessed and challenged those who were present.  In addition to a delicious chef-prepared brunch and hearing from Sue, we had a brief business meeting and special presentations.

Inspirational "Top 10" recording artist, Ginger Millermon, from Hutchinson, Kansas was in concert at Twin Lakes Christian Center in Manson, IA on September 18 and 19, 2009 for our annual retreat.

Ginger, a nationally recognized songwriter and recording artist, based the sessions on her life-changing testimony and music from her 5 albums.  Ginger's testimony is chronicled in her new book Grace Thus Far (Anothen Music/ Ingram 2008).  She had an unforgettable message for today's culture and her soul-stirring music inspired and encouraged our hearts.
