Speaker:    Laurie Baedke
Laurie, a Wausa native will join us this year to speak at the women’s retreat.  Lead by a passion to empower others
to live fulfilling and enriched lives, Laurie invests in speaking and training individuals and teams around
developing their God-given strengths.  Laurie left a full-time executive role in hospital administration in 2002
and founded her own consulting firm.  After experiencing tremendous business growth throughout the past three
years that became unmanageable on a part-time schedule, Laurie sold her consulting portfolio to focus on her role
as a wife and mother.  She enjoys opportunities to speak to and train others in corporate and faith based organizations
about the joy of cultivating lives of worship through engaging their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Laurie lives in Blair, Nebraska with her husband Wes and their two young children, Sophia and Quinn.

Fund Raiser
A different type of Fund Raiser this retreat. As a church you are asked to bring 3  to 5 purses or bags,
preferably zipped or buttoned closed, filled with items. We will all have the opportunity
to “bid” on the purses or bags without knowing what is inside. You might want to
have a theme for the purse or bag. What you put in it must fit inside.
Examples: school bag full of items used at school - student or teacher;
bag to have in the car to keep kids occupied during drives.

Purses of Love
Should you choose
, you may bring  the following types of items:
 facial scrub,coin purse/billfold, gloves, lotion, cologne/body spray, lipstick/chapstick, makeup, shampoo/conditioner,
hair spray/gel, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush/toothpaste, manicure kit, notepad/pen/pencil,  mouthwash, etc.

Your Time
This retreat is a gift to yourself. IF at any time, you would like to spend some time resting or
walking around the camp by yourself, please feel free to do so.
We ONLY ask that you let someone know you are taking some time alone.
