| NEBRASKA AREA RETREAT
Report
September 19-20, 2008

More than 100 women enjoyed the Fall Retreat at Covenant Cedars Bible Camp on a Friday evening and all day Saturday. Michael and Kristin Lyon of Omaha started things off with a contemporary music concert, enjoyed by all.
We were honored to have as our speaker this year Donna Zito, whose topic was “Harvest Boutique”. Friday evening, she shared "Four Reasons for a Spiritual Spa Weekend," then subsequently shared on such topics as sharing the joy of the Lord and finding the way to a joyful journey with the Lord.
There were four breakout sessions on Saturday. "In Her Shoes", a powerful activity led by Kyle Kelly, gave women a feel for the challenges and emotions felt by victims of domestic violence. Irene Ecklund, a Master Gardener, taught about growing and caring for vegetables and flowers. Dan Buhr, Executive Director at Covenant Cedars gave women an insiders tour of the Camp. Also, the chapel was open for prayer with Pastor Jodi DeYoung Moore.
The Silent Auction and Boutique was a huge success, raising over $1700 for Covenant Cedars Bible Camp. Thank you for all who participated.
If you couldn't make it this year, don't miss next year! Watch this website for more information.
