| KANSAS & MISSOURI AREA RETREAT Report October 3-5, 2008 "Bee Encouraged" was the theme of the Southern Area Women's Retreat, October 3-5, at Rock Springs 4-H Conference Center near Junction City, Kansas. Women around the state responded enthusiastically when we announced that Thelma Wells would be our speaker this year, which resulted in 201 in attendance! This is many more than we've had in recent years. Our worship was led by Eternity Focus, a group of sisters (and one friend) from Lebanon, Kansas. The result was a happy combination of speaker and music. Thelma is a wonderful speaker and challenged our women to learn who they are in Christ and then live boldly for him. The worship leaders worked well with her and our worship experience was always moving and exciting. But more important, women were convicted by the Holy Spirit to live more fully for Christ.
