| Caroline Peterson

Please pray the Lord's richest blessings on Caroline Peterson for her years in His service. Her mother's family came from Kearney, Nebraska, but Caroline was raised in Washington She and her husband, LeRoy, were commissioned for missionary service with Covenant World Missions to Japan in 1964 when their oldest son was just two years old.
They were the first American family to live in a small village on the outskirts of Tokyo and began a Sunday School in their home which added a church service two years later. Caroline taught a Bible and cooking class to the women. When their home was too small, they built a pre-fab and after many years they built a church in which to worship. Last October, the Petersons visited the church for its 35th anniversary!
When her sons were attending college in the States, Caroline helped the Christian Academy school nurse with sport physicials and taught at a Japanese Nursing School besides her work in the church.
In 1987, Caroline began writing and teaching "Women of the Bible" to the Monday Bible Class. From Genesis to Revelation they studied about 80 women which took seven years. As they were approaching the end of the New Testament, several ladies asked if the lessons could be published so other women could study them, too. This became the project for the class of nine ladies. These lessons were bilingual; three from the O.T. and two from the N.T.
She now lives in Covenant Shores at:
